Role Summary

The Infrastructure Analyst L3 will be working across a broad range of technologies and liaising with multiple areas of the business to support, evaluate, build, deliver and maintain the provision of a performant and secure distributed Infrastructure environment.  Ensuring the delivery of service meets availability/usability requirements both for current and future needs of the business and our customers with an “Always On” mindset. #LI-SJ1

Core Responsibilities
  • To support, build, test, deliver and maintain quality technical solutions to ensure a fit for purpose service is delivered.
  • To provide 3rd line technical support, delivery and administration of Meggitt infrastructure services.
  • Participation and engagement in Projects/Service improvements impacting Infrastructure and Data Centre Services.
  • Identification ownership and implementation of proactive maintenance plans including essential upgrades and software patches.
  • Monitor and review service performance at a component level e.g. Application Server, production of reports including recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • 3rd party/vendor liaison with respect to technical support, build and maintenance.
  • Meet levels of service in line with published/agreed SLA’s.
  • Identify and drive service and efficiency improvements.
  • To ensure infrastructure supporting documentation is maintained in line with infrastructure improvements and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain awareness of current developments including production of associated product life-cycles and roadmaps.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Essential 5 years+ experience of supporting, delivering and maintaining an expanding complex IT Infrastructure with 4 years + experience of planning and implementing  infrastructure solutions
  • Hands on support, delivery and build experience with a number of the following technology areas with deep/expert knowledge in Citrix Technology, Scripting/coding, Net App etc.
  • Experience of working in a technical environment delivering 3rd line support and management capability including the use of system management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and SCOM.
  • Fully conversant with ITIL principles and a thorough working knowledge of Incident, Change & Problem Management.
  • Problem Solving - Proactively diagnosing and solving incidents & problems to give a right first time resolution.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to identify & mitigate risks in IT infrastructure/environments.
  • Experience of working in a multinational, multi-site environment
