Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Human Resources Manager leads Human Resources in delivering services, policies and programs generally within a business unit or a site. Designs, implements and monitors a variety of human resource programs.  Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management. Ensures programs are aligned with legal requirements and Meggitt’s strategic goals.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Guides and manages in delivering services, policies, and programs for the site
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards and government laws/regulations
  •  Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems, while providing leadership for Human Resources strategic planning
  • Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations
  • Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans and employee development programs 
  • Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices and ensures investigations are conducted on employee complaints or concerns
  • Ensures activities align and integrate with Meggitt's requirements for quality management, health and safety, and legal compliance
  • Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
  • Manages staff selections, performance reviews, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities reach the business goals and expectations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • This position is on a  4/10 work schedule

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience : 7 - 10 years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Knowledge and experience in managing human resource  programs, processes, administrative procedures and compliance with government laws/regulations as appropriate for the business location 
  • Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Ability to Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
