Role Purpose

 

To provide leadership to the Application Managed Services function within Meggitt MIS, through the effective management of Team leads, consultants and vendors. To provide strong leadership to support the execution of Technical Delivery of AMS Services in support of Meggitts’ key business drivers. End to end accountability for all production operations and services to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience.#LI-SJ1

 

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities across MIS teams to resolve issues, focusing on the stability and availability of business systems
  • Establish and maintain a service oriented culture 
  • Maintain optimal support to internal customers in regards to any system issues that have been escalated in accordance to Service Level Agreements
  • Monitoring the performance and availability of Applications
  • Ensure Security operations activities are maintained – patching, scanning, vulnerability remediation and risk identification
  • Working closely with all other MIS teams, plan and drive the MIS Applications strategy, considering the future direction of technology and the benefits to the business
  • Able to plan, manage and routinely test the implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Manage, motivate and develop the individuals in your team to deliver the best possible service that meets business needs
  • Primary responsibility for relevant 3rd party relationships to ensure value is delivered
Job Specifications
  • Suitable tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Strong team management experience preferably across Global teams
  • Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing or enginering environment
  • Experience of coordinating resources across MIS teams, including external vendors and service providers, specifically in relation to system recovery or management of critical business services
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • ITIL / ITSM v3 Certification (desired)
  • Likely to be an experienced leader of managing production Application services across Global boundaries
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers to complex contracts and Service Level Agreements
  • Demonstrable practical experience of providing appropriate level reporting/KPIs
  • Team leadership and people development experience
  • Cloud based systems experience would be ideal
  • Architecture and/or design of software solutions
  • Understanding of testing strategy and implementation
  • Team leadership and development
  • Strong people manager, interested in development of others, good coach and mentor
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, exercising discretion in dealing with people at all levels
