Job Designation

To further strengthen our “Site Procurement” department, we are currently looking for a “Site Buyer – Direct Materials”.

The Position
As “Site Buyer – Direct Materials” you will be accountable to support the achievement of the Meggitt Operations Q-C-D objectives, by managing the suppliers’ performance on the scope of a portfolio of suppliers. You will be responsible of negotiating contracts, terms, conditions and performing regular supplier account review. You will also managing supplier development and performance improvement initiatives. Finally, you will ensure appropriate Meggitt purchasing policies and procedures are applied at all times.

Job Core Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:

• Negotiate and put in place contracts, terms & conditions
• Manage relationship with suppliers, follows-up monthly supplier scorecards, performs regular account reviews
• Manage enforcement of contractual obligations with suppliers
• Set up and manage supplier development and performance improvement initiatives
• Drive annual cost down and minimize supplier cost increases
• Negotiate and implement savings roadmap
• Collaborate with Group and Regional Team to deliver against agreed KPIs supporting the Meggitt wider procurement strategy
• Implement Group Procurement best practices on your scope of responsibility
• Ensure alignment with site operations, regional commodity managers and division procurement
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies
• Review performance data related to purchasing effectiveness into site operations and take a proactive role in driving corrective actions where necessary. 
• Maintain accurate data in the ERP system

Job Specifications

Your Profile

• Master's degree with a specialization in purchasing
• 3+ years of experience in buyer role
• Experience in Mechanicals product is a plus
• Fluent in French & English
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
