The position


To further strengthen our “Site Procurement” department, we are currently looking for a “Project Buyer”. 

In this role, you will support site strategic projects on the scope of Meggitt-design direct materials, by managing complex procurement activities and initiatives.  All activities are focused on adding value to the projects, while ensuring alignment with Meggitt strategies and processes, as well as the achievement of the objectives related to quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness that fully meet the project goals. 

The main responsibilities for this role are:
•    Sourcing activity for NPI projects on Meggitt design components / sub-assemblies: RFQ, technical alignment, negotiation, sourcing board, contractualization, Purchasing Orders (including Prototypes & Non-Recurring Costs, Redmine, ...)
•    Perform Make vs. Buy / Where Make assessment, build Business Case Make vs. Buy / Where Make and plan Sourcing Review Board for decision
•    Participate to Project and Industrialization activities, manage Procurement & Supply Chain actions, prepare deliverables for Industrialization process / Gates - Including Purchasing Checklists
•    Participate to VA / VE workshops, launch and execute Procurement & Supply Chain initiatives
•    Participate to the NPI Demand Review and manage actions to support the Ramp-up / Ramp-down plan achievement (including instructions to Buyers for the ramp-down)
•    Design and implement the strategy of purchase order (scheduling, firm purchase order, VMI…) 


Your profile


•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain or operations, preferably in aerospace, automotive or equipment industry
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence 
•    Solution-oriented mindset and decision making skills
•    Autonomy and natural curiosity to understand technical topics
•    Strong prioritization skills and ability to multitask 
•    Team spirit and flexibility to adapt to a changing business environment in a matrix organization
•    Fluent in both English and French (written and verbal); German would be an asset
•    Proficient with MS Office and SAP; MS Project would be a plus
