Job Designation

To further strengthen our “Procurement” department, we are currently looking for a “Procurement Manager”.

The Position

As “Procurement Manager”, you will be responsible to coordinate closely with site, division, and group teams, the Site Procurement Manager provides site-level procurement leadership in accordance with Meggitt policies, processes, and direction. This position plans, coordinates, and directs a variety of complex strategic and tactical procurement and material processes from initial supplier proposals through delivery of product ensuring objectives are met in supply chain quality, delivery, cost, and inventory goals. This position ensures all procurement activities operate in compliance with government laws (domestic/international), regulations and management objectives.

Job Core Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:

• Determines annual targets and objectives for procurement performance, cost savings, and other KPis including associated execution plans in conjunction with site, division and group business and functional leadership
• Leads and supervises day-to-day procurement activities for site.  Works with site operations team to conduct and optimize inventory management and SlOP
• Ensures proper order placement and expedites deliveries to support site manufacturing needs
• Supports site operations lead in meeting site business objectives; leads functional DLA and supports other site DLAs as appropriate, performing pareto-based gap analysis ad defines actions to support performance and/or recovery; drives functional MPS
• In conjunction with division and group functional teams, develops and deploys procurement processes and practices to drive continuous improvement in site activities
• Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
• Manages staff selection, performance, development, retention, and training processes to ensure team competencies  and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
• Utilizes best practice and lean techniques to identify, develop and implement strategy, policy, processes, tools, metrics, action plans and countermeasures as required to deliver inventory, supplier performance, total cost and other KPis
• Designs, implements and manages supplier inventory programs along with appropriate system parameter maintenance required to meet material flow requirements
• In conjunction with division and group, leads and supports supplier development and performance management efforts to ensure supply base performance including supplier scorecards, corrective actions, supplier reviews, penalties, and other key supplier engagement activities
• Leads and/or supports supplier contract negotiation in conjunction with site, division and group strategies ensuring effective supplier commercial relationships fully meeting business, risk, working capital, risk and other objectives
• Ensures compliance with government laws and regulations and company policies and processes

Job Specifications

Your Profile

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or related field required; analytical degree (i.e., Math/Engineering) preferred
• 7-10 years of Procurement experience; aerospace background required
• Fluent in English and French
• Demonstrated capability/experience in an operational Procurement leadership role
• Experience with electronic and / or mechanic material buying
• Practical and applied knowledge of aerospace sourcing, purchasing, and overall procurement processes, systems, and practices
• Working knowledge in lean manufacturing concepts and techniques with significant exposure to supplier inventory programs such as kanban and consignment
• Proven ability to drive change and continuously improve processes for effectiveness in procurement cost, quality, and delivery across a site
• Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize in a rapid changing and demanding environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams as well as communicate effectively across all levels both internally and externally with suppliers and customers in a timely and effective manner
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications is beneficial
