Meggitt Fribourg’s site employs 450 employees and develops, manufactures and sells world-wide a complete range of transducers and electronic systems for the monitoring of engines, turbines and other rotating machinery in both the aerospace and energy industries.

The position

Further to the internal promotion of our HR Site Manager in Fribourg, we are looking for an HR Manager.

 

As HR Manager you will be accountable to work closely with site management to deliver growth and business results. You will participate to the activities of the site as an active member of the leadership team and provide coaching, advisory and pragmatic support to the management as well as the employees. You will deploy HR and Organisational initiatives in line with local and global guidelines. You will manage a team of 6 people.

 

The main responsibilities for this role are:

 

•    Understand the company business strategy to be able to provide practical, business oriented HR counsel and services in support of that strategy.
•    Participate to business reviews and decisions-making process which impact the organization and lead the site communication.
•    Interact with Division and Group HR leaders and insure global policies and processes are implemented and respected.
•    Lead local and/or global HR initiatives to ensure the site is able to attract, retain and develop its talents.
•    Lead the local HR Team and provide guidance, support and leadership. Assign and delegate responsibilities and tasks as appropriate.
•    Together with the HR Team and our people managers, be responsible of employees lifecycle, including on-boarding, development, transfers/promotions, international assignments and departures.
•    Supervise all tasks related to the good execution of the payroll function, included but not limited to the monthly payments, reconciliations, production of all documents related to monthly, quarterly and annual activities and review benefits on regular basis.
•    Prepare HR budget from a head-count and cost stand-point, providing up-dates and follow-up to adhere to quarterly and annual guidance.
 

Your profile

•    Master degree in Business, Psychology, HR or equivalent.
•    10 years HR leadership experience.
•    Experience in running HR in a high tech design & manufacturing matrix environment, within an international environment.
•    Experience in Swiss HR management and labour laws. Any experience in other jurisdictions is an asset.
•    Strong working knowledge of MS Office and HRIS (PeopleSoft, Success Factor or other)
•    Fluent in French and English (spoken and written), German an asset.
