Role Summary

Meggitt, Fareham are excited to bring you this new opportunity as a Team Leader. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team to deliver business production requirements against the MPS schedule. Operating in a safe working environment and to the correct quality standards the team leader will be passionate about achieving excellence.  Accountable for the performance management of the team, this role will lead by example and champion HPC behaviours. You will also be responsible for offering assistance within the assembly team and will often find yourself on the shop floor assisting in the day to day process of the assembly line.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • 60% of your responsibilities will be of the management of floor staff to deliver production output
  • 15% of your responsibilities will be to utilise DLA/SQDIP processes to ensure issues are highlighted and resolved.
  • 10% of your responsibilities will be to coordinate with departments that feed into the team to ensure the production needs are met
  • 5% of your responsibilities will be to lead by example, encourage and display HPC behaviors.
  • 5% of your responsibilities will be to monitor capacity and mitigate any single point of failures
  • 5% of your responsibilities will be to work with Production Manager to manage budgets
  • Coordinates the movement of production to meet area requirements
  • Performs precision assembly in accordance legislation
  • Conducts Inspections of own and /or other associates work to insure correctness

Skills, Knowledge & Responsibilities

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Years Experience: 3 years or more of relevant experience

  • Skill in supervising to include delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
