Role Summary
Are you a Software Engineer, looking to progress your career with a leader in the aerospace and defence arena?

It would be great if you're also experienced in working on the full software lifecycle, whilst providing extended expertise in the design and development of a range of software, BUT if not, don't let stop you from applying - we're BIG on providing support and development to our employees.
Core Responsibilities
- Capturing, decomposing, and obtains functional requirements to develop technical specifications
- Applying software standards to architect, designing, developing, integrating and testing software applications
- Performing, track and control internal project activities and managing external sub-contractors (including offshore verification partners)
- Supporting other members of the team with knowledge of best practices and safety-critical development
- Creating periodical status reports for key functions
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, including standardisation of tools and processes
- Performing additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential
- You must be UK-based for this position
- Bachelor’s Degree in any STEM subject or equivalent industry experience
- Solid experience of embedded software development (ideally C or C++)
- Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
- Ability to research and analyse data effectively
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
- Strong prioritisation skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
Desirable
- Experience of full software lifecycle
- Safety critical background, delivering software projects (from requirements capture to realisation) in the aerospace or similar high technology sectors
- Knowledge of interface and communication protocols (e.g. ARINC429, CAN, SPI)
