About the role
As the Procurement Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end supply chain function covering tactical & strategic activity by developing strong framework agreements with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost reduction and reduction/elimination of risk within the supply chain.
You'll also ensure that procurement procedures are in compliance with Government laws (domestic/international), regulations and management objectives.

Core Responsibilities
- Direct and develop the total supply chain and play an active role in the SIOP process to ensure efficient materials management throughout the business.
- Monitor changes in the global marketplace, being proactive to avoid any negative impact on cost, delivery or quality performance.
- Work closely with the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers, ensuring supplier audits are conducted and any resultant activity is tracked and closed off
- Oversee commodity management and resolve issues / escalate as required
- Responsibility for day to day management of the procurement teams – Tactical and strategic buyers.
- Manage & Develop relationship with our overseas manufacturing sites, in Vietnam (MVN) & China (MXM) and providing support / guidance on sub-tier providers
Skills & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines within a complex environment.
- Track record of delivering Procurement Improvement projects with substantial cost savings and benefits.

Strong Risk management mindset, proactive in identifying and dealing with potential business risks

Proactively seeking out new opportunities for the business to reduce cost & lead-time.

A highly professional individual, experienced in communicating clearly and accurately with all stakeholders.
- CIPS is highly desirable.
- Understanding of contracts, compliance and government laws (domestic/international) relating to procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership and operate as an effective member of high performance teams.
- Ability to develop strategic plans to support the growth of the business.
- Proficient in ERP Systems, ideally SAP or similar.
