Role Summary

Parker Meggitt are excited to share an opportunity that has arisen for a Production Maintenance Engineer to be based in Fareham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting regular day to day maintenance and provide operational support through collaboration and coordination with production supervision and external servicing providers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains existing mechanical systems and associated equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc.
  • Follows detailed operational instructions, procedures and blueprints while conducting maintenance activities
  • Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance 
  • Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment, using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment
  • To perform regular planned TPM on production plant equipment and to electronically document for audit purposes.
  • To fault find, assist in the repair of daily machine breakdowns, and to liaise with outside service engineers when fault is non-repairable.
  • General Day to day maintenance i.e changing light bulbs, fuses, filters, water leaks, wiring of plugs, sockets, element filaments etc.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing systems engineers to support engagement with external calibration and service engineers
