Job Summary

 

Provide ownership and management of the Site Quality Management System to ensure conformity with all EASA Part 21 Subpart G requirements and AS9100 current revision requirements and maintain the approvals with the appropriate regulatory authorities.

 

Provide leadership in enhancing the quality culture on site and in the production centres; to drive for the highest level of quality performance reducing variation and quality escapes from processes with the consequential reduction in product defects and rework.

 

Manage the interface with Customers and Production Centres and ensure that an excellent level of service is provided.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Define and lead the Quality strategy and Quality objectives for the business and own and manage the Quality Management System to ensure all key targets and business objectives are met
  • Drive Design Assurance, Cost of Quality, Product Quality and Zero Defects to ensure best practice is achieved including highest levels of customer satisfaction. Exhibit behaviours in line with HPC standards when attending quality and functional DLA’s
  • Liaise with the CAA, EASA, BSI and all HSE regulatory certification/bodies on regulatory/standards and provide guidance to the business to ensure compliance with the required standards
  • To lead the Airworthiness Board for all internal and external product safety related events, drive actions to ensure all Airworthiness topics are closed
  • To liaise with the Group Quality team to support and meet group requirements, ensure all group KPI’s are met/understood and that corrective actions are in place if the required level is not met
  • Maintain an audit programme satisfactory to regulatory requirements and ensure its active implementation across the facility. In line with this maintain external audits from customers/regulatory authorities and ensure actions are appropriately closed
  • Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Council, provide assurance to the Accountable Manager and team on the status of quality assurance measures
  • Business Continuity Planning – Lead the site continuity planning team ensuring adherence to group requirements
  • To maintain drive improvements in quality KPI’s
  • Lead customer investigations related to quality related issues ensuring root cause and professional customer feedback is closed

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

 

  • 7+ years of experience in Aerospace Quality Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EASA Part 21
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 and process based QMS
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Ability to research and analyze data effectively    
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
