Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity based out of our brand new manufacturing facility at Ansty Park to offer deskside and remote support to Meggitt’s Senior Executive team.  You will be required to provide technical and day to day support including incident ownership and resolution, completing service requests and assisting with projects. 


You will be able to work both independently and in collaboration with internal support teams and external vendors, working as part of a wider service delivery team you will be the bridge and technical interface between IT and our Executive community and have natural flair for customer service with experience supporting senior stakeholders in an enterprise environment. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, troubleshoot and resolve issues on laptops, desktops, printers, smart devices (tablets and mobiles) and telephony equipment
  • Support enterprise desktop applications across both legacy and current versions of Windows Operating system as well as VPN clients, Citrix and bespoke software residing on the local machines and servers
  • Create support documentation to improve departmental knowledge on bespoke systems and site related activities
  • Ensure all Executives and their teams are fully supported through the onboarding and leaver processes
  • Review and technically approve localised supplier contracts
  • Support project teams when required for the Executive community ensure good stakeholder management
  • Able to work outside office hours when required which may include short durations away from home
  • Provide reports on a weekly basis on the overall performance
  • Identify, investigate, update and resolve problem records

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills with at least 5 years technical support in a Windows environment including desktops, laptops, printers, desktop software, applications and tools
  • Experience of troubleshooting/supporting technologies such as NetBackup/MDT, AV systems and SharePoint
  • Experience of supporting executive users is essential for this role
  • Experience of supporting bespoke applications, with the mentality to think outside the box
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of setting up and supporting smart devices such as MS Surface Pro and IPad/Mobiles
  • Participation in team on-call Rota where required
