Job Designation

The Injection Mold Production Assembler sets up & operates a variety of injection mold machines. This role requires understanding of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, and the ability to perform under minimal guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures. 

This is a full-time role, 3rd shift.  Hours: M-F 11pm-7:30pm.

Must be able to train on 1st shift for the first 4-6 weeks, 1st shift hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm


Job Core Responsibilities

  • Injection Mold Process knowledge.

  • Setup of injection mold machines and trim of parts after completion.

  • Changing and cleaning of molds.

  • Inspection of Molds for defects and cleanliness.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge and the use of Calipers, mics and a variety of measuring devices.

  • Must have knowledge of reading of calipers, mics and varied measuring devices using the metrics system.

  • Performs a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with work instructions and procedures. 

  • Assists with training /development purposes, with tasks in other production cells/locations.

  • Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field 

Years Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience and 2-3 years of experience in injection mold processing.  


  • Able to perform injection mold process operation
  • Experience in solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
  • Skilled at injection mold inspections and the changing of molds      
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Experience in the use of various hand tools and have mechanical abilities to perform all functions of the position.       
  • Effective oral and written communication
