Job Designation

The Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for the development of master production schedule covering all site’s critical manufacturing resources and ensuring that the plan:
•    Fulfils all internal and external customer demand,
•    Is balanced with resources available capacity (Machine and/or Labour),
•    Is aligned with delivery plan of externally purchased raw materials and services,

The Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for driving and managing the development of the plan.  They will ensure that there is cross-functional involvement / alignment with all the stakeholders, including securing approval to the plan in the Weekly Operational Planning meeting:
•    Customer Account management concerning Order delivery planning and supply lead-time alignment
•    ME/Production management concerning resources capability, availability/working calendar and demonstrated performance (capacity utilization)
•    NPI management concerning new parts development, prototyping, SOP and End-of-Life planning,
•    Purchasing management concerning supplier/subcontractor capacity and raw material/service supply planning

The Master Production Scheduler will own and ensure that the relevant ERP planning master data is regularly updated and accurately reflects supply capability and lead-time.

The Master Production Scheduler will own and drive the site’s Demand Planning to ensure customer orders align with site production lead times.

The Master Production Scheduler will own Inventory related to Work In Process along with Inventory Turns to ensure site Inventory goals are met.

The Master Production Scheduler own and drive the Site’s S&OP process. Through the Master Supply Plan development, the Planner will support the Site Supply Review and Pre-S&OP / Executive S&OP decision making process.
The Master Supply Plan will involve building of the cross-functionally aligned Long-term production plan for all site bottleneck resources, which will:
•    Balance demand with supply in the 18 – 24 months horizon
•    Provide a set of planning scenarios to manage capacity imbalances and satisfy the Demand Plan
•    Provide long-term Inventory projections
•    Provide the baseline for a long-term supplier capacity evaluation

The Master Production Scheduler will monitor performance of the planning process through the relevant key performance indicators (KPI’s). Through the root cause analysis and corrective actions deployment will ensure continuous improvement of the process.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Development and approval of the Master Production Schedule covering all site’s critical/bottleneck manufacturing resources and ensuring that the plan

•    Own and ensure that the relevant ERP planning master data is regularly updated and accurately reflects supply capability and lead-time.

•    Report out on Operational Planning KPI performance and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions

•    Maintain the Site’s S&OP process. Providing insights, analysis and recommendations to help resolve customer availability issues and operational constraints.

•    Respond daily to demand and supply changes and proactively drive the Site to deliver a stable, feasible plan that achieves the Site’s customer fulfillment and operations efficiency targets. Report out and provide recovery actions into the Site DLA process / Weekly Operations meeting

•    Support the Site’s continuous improvements plans for the Planning and Supply Chain functions driving the development of new reports, analytics and tools

Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 5 years experience in Supply Chain Planning
Skills:

•    Previous Master Production Scheduling experience within other organizations, with focus on master data management and both short term scheduling and long term rough cut capacity planning 
•    Strong understanding of the end to end Supply Chain and Master Production Scheduling’s influence upon it
•    Experience of working within and influencing an organizations Sales & Operations Planning process
•    Aerospace & Defense or related industry experience preferred
•    Ability to meet deadlines and targets
•    Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports with recommendations
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
•    Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
