Job Designation

The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system. SMT Has knowledge and understanding of 1 to 3 phase electrical motors. 

Job Core Responsibilities



  •  Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, Injection molding machines, extruder machines, Industrial oil heaters, heater bands and dust collection systems.

  • Have a familiarity with maintenance of 100 ton to 300 ton presses.

  • Required to have an in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting 480volt machines.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot Input and Output on various PLC’s

  • Determines and overseas preventative maintenance requirements, training and required reports.

  • Skilled in the use of various hand tools, to include pneumatic tools, micrometers, calipers, levelers and various torque wrench’s

  •  Using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment

  • Knowledge of Lock-Out/ Tag-Out.  

Job Specifications

  • Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
