Job Designation

The Finance Manager while aligning activities with company policies, procedures and objectives. Analyzes financial statements, prepares reports and makes recommendations to management. Ensures the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Job Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for cost accounting function for four Manufacturing locations, including all inventory analysis and review of manufacturing variances
• Assembles and reviews unit cost for weekly bid approvals for future sales opportunities
• Prepares monthly financial reporting analysis packages for all four manufacturing locations
• Assists with month end close exercises in areas surrounding inventory/cost accounting
• Works with the Controller to lead the management and preparation of forecasting for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Drives process and continuous improvement to increase overall quality and efficiency of analysis, which includes proactive modeling and analysis tools
• Analyzes product line profit and loss statements, including cost of sales and operating expenses
• Ensures the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Other ad hoc requests as assigned
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Finance or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation

Years Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience


  • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles
  • Solid team development and management skills to enable the creation of a highly capable team
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively explain complex information to others
  • Strong analytical and independent problem solving skills to evaluate financial results, projections and mine through data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
