Job Designation
The CMM Programmer will be responsible for writing CMM programs in PCDMIS, supporting legacy programs such as Camio and Power Inspect, determining conformance of product based on data received from CMM, and supporting CMM operations.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Write programs based on the available software for the CMM.
- Program and operate a CMM using CAD/CAM in support of engineered designs.
- Run existing programs as necessary.
- Store programs per applicable work instructions.
- Scheduling Calibration and maintenance for CMM’s.
- Work with Engineering on New Product Introduction.
- Provides alternative inspection methods in order to reduce inspection cycle time.
- Provides guidance to others regarding the interpretation of GD&T.
- Interact with Engineering, Production, and Customers to resolve technical issues.
- Identify and measure critical features from customer supplied drawings and models.
Job Specifications
Education Level:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate degree in a technical or engineering program is desired.
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
- Two plus years programming with PCDMIS software.
- Inspection fixture design experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge
- Strong math skills.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T methodology
- Familiar with Quality Management System requirements (AS9100/ISO9000).
- Understanding of Quality Control procedures, statistical methods and inspection methods.
- Collect, organize, document and communicate inspection results.
- Analyze the inspection data by applying problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Support in-process inspection for internal manufacturing efforts.
- Required to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, sit and work at a computer workstation and walk up and down stairs.
