Job Designation

This Intern position is to add capability to the Electrical Engineering team and participate in the design of aviation quality electronic components. The intern is expected to perform electrical engineering tasks and research activities to support current engineering programs.

Job Core Responsibilities

To assist in the design and research of the following:

  • Power supplies, EMI/EMC, Analog and digital circuits
  • Design & Analysis tasks
  • Topology and part selection
  • Control circuits
  • Create detailed electrical & functional block diagrams based on input from others
  • Create electrical schematics using Altium
  • Develop and maintain company and customer required documentation (specifications etc.)
  •  Performs trouble shooting and qualification testing to support engineers
  •  Other responsibilities as assigned
  •  Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications

Education: Currently enrolled in Junior level Electrical Engineering classes (300 level) with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Actively pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at an accredited university
  • Strong word processing and/or data entry skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong work ethics and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Flexible, open minded listener/learner
  • Excellent Communicator/Team worker
  • Analytical, fact based problem solver
  • Able to perform in a multitasking environment
