Purpose:


Meggitt’s new Ansty Park is the most significant infrastructure investment Meggitt have ever made. The 490k ft2 facility will be the place of work for up to 1000 peoplel, and will be Meggitt’s Centre of Gravity in the UK, encompassing the Global Corporate HQ, Aircraft Braking operations currently located in Coventry, Thermal Management operations currently located in Birmingham, and the EMEA hub for Meggitt’s Services and Support organisation (MRO and Spares distribution). The site will be Meggitt’s blueprint for the future, and by bringing world-class innovation and operational performance together will accelerate Meggitt’s ability to meet the current and future needs of customers worldwide

Lead the planning and logistics function to build and deliver product plans to meet all global customer needs
Design and implement planning and physical logistics processes, developing the level of the team’s competence and capacity to execute the processes effectively and efficiently
Install and embed the SIOP framework as the core business decision making process

Responsibilities: 
•    Thermal Management – lead and direct all aspects of the SIOP process for the Thermal Management Product Group, encompassing sites at Troy, IN, and Ansty Park, UK
•    Brake Systems – contribute to the supply and capacity elements of the SIOP process for the Braking Systems Product Group encompassing sites 
•    Ansty Park


Establishing the Ansty Park Planning and Logistics organisation
•    Take over and lead the development of the Planning and Control operating model for Ansty Park
•    Take over and lead the development of the Logistics operating model and infrastructure for Ansty Park
•    Lead the transition and creation of the Planning and Logistics organisation to Ansty Park
•    Champion the planning and logistics function within the ERP deployment program

 

Management and execution of Planning and Logistics organisation
•    Lead and direct the Master Production Schedule and constrained planning to create a realistic and achievement plan while delivering optimum productivity
•    Lead and direct the Logistics team at Ansty Park, incorporating Goods In/Out, Materials Handling and Stores
•    Ensure standard planning and logistics management principles are executed, to monitor and manage plans from customer order to product shipment
•    Provide data management processes that ensure the accuracy and relevance of the master data
•    Ensures the right level of planning competence and capacity is in place to drive planning through strong planning processes
•    Ensures the right level of logistics competence and capacity is in place to drive physical logistics through strong warehouse and material management processes
•    
•    Enforce the SIOP framework as the key business process that links commercial, finance and operations
•    Work effectively with the business stakeholders to understand strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver the business goalsOptimises planning and logistics costs whist maintaining budget goals
•    Manages crises resolution to ensure continuous flow of product within designated budget
•    Maintain the OTD recording for the business and report daily/monthly on the status
•    Responsibility for departmental - SQDIP and MPS criteria
