Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

Reporting to the Structural Manufacturing Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible to manage the operations related to Final Assembly which include but not limited to the sub assembly, painting, and final assembly of aircraft wheels and brakes. This position is responsible for directing production associates with continuous improvements in cost containment and throughput times while maintaining optimum quality.

Job Core Responsibilities

General:
•    Manages all aspects of the day to day manufacturing process including production schedules, efficiencies, product quality, and associated manufacturing personnel.
•    Must possess leadership qualities that support effective communication with everyone in the operation and across various different departments.
•    Will be responsible for creating and implementing objectives for scheduled completions, cost control and quality standards. Will also be responsible to ensure that management of the Company is informed of production status on a regular basis.
•    Will be responsible to ensure that the entire production work force is properly motivated while creating a positive and safe work environment.
•    Will ultimately be responsible for all personnel activities (interviewing, hiring, discipline, absenteeism, conflict resolution, performance appraisals, etc.) for all individuals in the production environment.
•    Will have a strong working knowledge of manufacturing management, manufacturing methods, inspection standards, equipment, tools, facilities, and computer systems/software.
•    A strong background in Lean Practices and 5/6S standards is important. Will be responsible for leading continuous improvement activities, developing process improvements and standards, and driving a culture to sustain these activities.
Safety:
•    Is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly work environment that will ensure the safety and general welfare of all employees.
•    Responsible for working in a safe manner and observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.
Miscellaneous:
•    Will perform any other tasks properly assigned by the Structural Manufacturing Manager.
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications

Education: A minimum of an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Management or the equivalent required
Years’ Experience: A minimum of five (5) years manufacturing supervision experience is a requirement. Individual must have a strong working knowledge of computer skills, including utilization of Microsoft Office Suite. Lean practices with a working knowledge of 5/6S principles are preferable.
Skills:
•    Solid experience in production support, leading a team of staff members
•    Ability to plan, set priorities for the team and direct technical efforts to meet targets
•    Strong leadership and effective interpersonal skills
•    Able to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
•    Effective oral and written communication and attention to detail
•    Proficient in Microsoft Windows software applications
