Our Airframe Systems division brings together an extensive range of skills and abilities to support some of the world’s leading commercial, business and military aircraft manufacturers.

Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

Reporting to the Supervisor of Mfg. Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for all onsite Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering support for the operation.

Job Core Responsibilities

Material Review Board:
Will be responsible for engineering analysis and disposition of non-conforming product. Must be a confident decision maker, relying upon abilities to interpret drawing and specification requirements and apply them in practical daily situations.

Product Engineering
Is responsible for engineering liaison between operations and Product Engineering in Akron, Ohio. This individual will be responsible for APQP integration.

Manufacturing Engineering:
Responsible for the expertise of all manufacturing processes and systems, including process documentation, routing lists, test machine programming, etc. Knowledge of 3D modeling as it relates to tooling and fixture design, and basic shop assembly processes is required.

Customer and Product Support:
Is responsible for supporting customer visits, audits and production readiness reviews.

Is required to participate and lead various cross functional teams related to continuous improvement.

Is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly work environment that will ensure the safety and general welfare of all employees.
Responsible for working in a safe manner and observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field
Years' Experience:  0-2 years of  engineering experience. Any experience associated with aerospace or manufacturing is a plus.

Travel Requirements: Domestic and international with low frequency


  • Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement

  • Ability to explain and retain a range of complex technical information

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools

  • 3D modeling experience (Catia V5 is preferred)

  • Ability and/or knowledge of various power and hand tools to complete tasks as necessary

  • Creative and willing to question the norm
