Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Electrical Engineer will support the Project Engineering team related to facility growth (expansion) and process improvement projects. In addition, will support sustainment of existing electrical systems and manufacturing equipment used in the production of carbon composite aircraft brake components.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Support design functions as required for building expansions, new equipment installations, forward planning, specifying/designing special machinery, process/system improvements, utility systems and new construction within local, state and national codes and regulations as required.
•    Responsible for project engineering (planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost accounting/tracking, purchasing and implementation functions) as required providing timely and cost effective company facilities and equipment.
•    Interface with external design firms, construction contractors, machine builders and maintenance vendors.  
•    Provide electrical expertise in medium voltage distribution systems (switchgear), low voltage systems, system integration, sensors and mechanical devices.
•    Develop fundamental understanding of carbon process requirements critical to the aircraft brake component production processes.
•    Supply technical support for process, quality and product related investigations.
•    Supports activities to enable cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience:  A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Skills:
•    Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering / electrical systems.
•    Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure.
•    Communicates complex technical information to others in a clear and effective manner.
•    Ability to work independently and effectively interface with cross-functional disciplines including suppliers, design engineering, quality and procurement, using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion.
•    The individual must have strong computer skills, including utilization of various software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), and any relevant electrical specific software.
•    Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, facilities support systems and equipment, safety and environmental practices and regulations.
•    A strong background utilizing lean tools and experience with a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
