The CNC Machine Operator Apprentice will train on the 1st shift and after proper training will move to the 2nd shift. This individual will perform basic routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly/CNC machine operator operations, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.

Deburr
Blueprint reading
TWID/DWID understanding
KM9608
Understand blending
Deburr tools used
MPE-122
1 day - 90 days (then review for potential move to next level)
$17.00 per hour
Student
Include but not limited to:
Startup/Shutdown of machine
Tooling Knowledge/use
Measuring skills
Machine Preventive Maintenance
Coolant level/readings
3 months - 9 months (then review for potential move to next level)
$18.00 per hour
Scholar
Include but not limited to:
Machine Controller
Cell controller
Machine Setup
Understanding of G/M codes
Zoller tool setup
9 months - 18 months (then review for potential move to next level)
$19.00 per hour
Operator
Employee must demonstrate a working knowledge of all these skills listed above
Between 18-24 months (then review to become a full time CNC Operator)
Pay will be equal to the market rate at the time (based on knowledge and skill level)
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Education A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with very small parts
- Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
- Capable of performing basic mathematics
- Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
- Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
