Job Designation

This will be a new concept within Meggitt therefore an important aspect will be to communicate the vision and goals of the HR shared service function within the organisation in a highly collaborative and positive manner and drive execution.

With oversight of all processes, tools and metrics that optimize HR services and solutions, you will design, establish and refine operational efficiencies and provide the full spectrum of HR transactional processing. You will also closely partner with the HR Leadership team, IT and Finance in the UK & US to establish and understand our strategic priorities and business needs, ensuring service delivery capabilities and solutions are effectively and efficiently leveraged.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Work with the Group HR Director and HR VPs to design and build a global HR Shared Services organisation.
  • Provide vision, strategic leadership, planning and guidance for the development of an effective HR Shared Services organisation globally.
  • Lead the service delivery team to create, build and implement effective, efficient and consistent operational processes, leveraging technology and ensuring resources are optimised.
  • Accountable for overall operational scorecard, including service level agreements (SLA), metrics, resource and financial management.
  • Foster a service mind-set and ensure cooperation and engagement with other functional areas to improve operational effectiveness and support administration.
  • Provide strategic direction for the development of all aspects of Shared Services budget, financial planning, operational planning and workforce planning.
  • Define and communicate to business leadership internally to set service quality standards and metrics that are consistent with external high performing organisations, ensuring HR Shared Services work consistently and achieves performance standards
  • Working closely with the IT function and HR Operations to provide the vision of a comprehensive technology strategy to drive the successful delivery of Shared Services.
  • Employ an effective, diplomatic and influential communication style that works across a wide range of employees from different countries and cultures to gain support and implement positive and successful change management.
Job Specifications
  • Extensive experience with building a global HR Shared Services function – proven background leading an international service delivery operating model that interfaces with employees, business leaders, and vendors/ suppliers
  • Significant experience in the provision of HR Systems and applications to support the construction of a shared services organisation
  • Accomplished leader in developing organisations, building diverse high performing teams and change management
  • Experience of  managing budgets, workforce planning, business performance and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to drive tasks to completion      
  • Proven experience of working collaboratievly across differing departments and continents particularly with the US.
  • Strong understanding of technology benefits in a shared service environment
