Role Summary

The UK Tax Accounts Assistant role assists with management and control of corporation tax procedures, compliance and tax disclosures for all UK entities.  Requiring excellent tax technical ability, project management skills and a robust "can do" attitude.  Preparation, review and submission of corporate tax returns.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assistance with Collection, interrogation and consolidation of detailed tax packages and related information from site teams
  • Liaising with site teams on tax-related matters as required
  • Assistance with preparation of UK entity tax computations and returns
  • Assistance with submission of UK entity tax computations and returns post-approval
  • Administration, maintenance and update of tax compliance procedures/SOPs
  • Ad hoc assistance as required to the Assistant UK Tax Manager and UK Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance manager
  • Coordination of routine queries on UK indirect taxes

Skills, Experience & Capabilities

  • ACA/ACCA and/or CTA part-qualified
  • Knowledge and experience of Corporation Tax and Indirect Taxes.
  • Relevant tax experience in Big 4/leading Mid-Tier and/or large corporate
  • Good awareness of all taxes
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to convey complex issues to management as appropriate
  • Self-starter and ability to constructively challenge
  • Broad experience of finance and tax technology desirable
  • Good project management skills
