Division

Our Airframe Systems division brings together an extensive range of skills and abilities to support some of the world’s leading commercial, business and military aircraft manufacturers
Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.
We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.
Whether it’s developing new radome solutions, fuel delivery systems or high-altitude life support systems, the Airframe Systems embodies the innovation at the heart of Meggitt.

Core Responsibilities

•    Preparation of technical publications to both customer and internal defined specifications
•    Preparation of service bulletins and service information letters
•    Determine the effect of a modification on a technical publication and provide man-hour estimates for updates
•    Prepare SOW and packages of work for External Contractors 
•    Communicate and update status of activities using appropriate databases and/or any other agreed methods
•    Plan, organise and control their activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality of their output
•    Assist in the preparation of project management plans for major tasks and work to their cost and schedule.
•    Actively participate as a member of the Department and/or programme development teams
•    Interface with internal and external customers and contractors. 
•    Carry out special duties as assigned

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Technical Requirements
Knowledge, understanding and experience of ATA iSpec 2200, ATA 100, ATA 101, ASDS 1000D, AVP70, DEFSTAN 0060 part 10 as appropriate
Knowledge, understanding and experience of XML, SGML.
Competent in use of ASD STE-100 Simplified Technical English
Good planning, organisational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
Good project management skills.
Working knowledge of PCs in the current company operating system environment.
