Role Summary


The Supply Chain Planning Manager role is accountable for ensuring that the Meggitt End to End Supply Chain planning standards are being implemented at Product Group and Site level with the objective of driving up system and process usage and capability. The role will identify areas for improvement and ensure actions plans, including training and mentoring, are delivered effectively. This role will cover end to end Supply Chain Planning capability (including Order Management, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning and Materials management).

Core Responsibilities



  • Develop processes/standards/guidelines to deploy PP & MM across all sites to ensure process and system usage enhanced leading to demonstrable KPI improvements 30%
  • Responsible, with MIS lead, to build all E2E Supply Chain Planning training materials and ensure all training is being delivered in line with the functional strategy 30%
  • Responsible for the on-site assessment of system and process user capability and recommendation and delivery of action plans to drive up performance 20%
  • Mentoring of identified Business Process Owners (BPO’s) & Super Users & development of Planning community tools to enable user led best practice sharing and problem solving 20%


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities


  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning roles delivering step change improvements in Operational KPI improvements (Forecast accuracy; Inventory Optimization; Production to Plan)
  • Experience with demand forecasting techniques, capacity and resource planning methodologies and production and finished goods planning strategies
  • Exceptional technical and systems knowledge of Master Production Scheduling and Production Planning. Ability to deliver process changes in this area leading to immediate term improvements in results
  • Experience of implementing new Planning systems recommended (Experience of SAP, Industry best practice Forecasting & Customer Portal collaboration tools essential)
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering training, coaching and mentoring to non-direct reports leading to advanced user capability
  • Demonstrated experience of building User groups of Planning experts to enable best practice sharing and internal problem solving
  • Recognized business expert in Planning systems and process and Go To person for problem resolution
