Role Summary

Based from one of our UK Offices, this role sits within the Parker Meggitt ITG Manufacturing Applications, working closely with the business to shape and drive a delivery plan, especially for the manufacturing optimisation arena. The SAP MM/WM functional specialist is accountable for ensuring the SAP solution provided to the customer is fit for purpose, consistent across businesses, aligns with the Parker-Meggitt SAP template and satisfies the business requirements. The successful candidate will be an experienced SAP specialist with excellent functional and technical knowledge in the SAP MM/WM modules. Acting as a subject matter expert for SAP functional area and business processes, the role will optimise MM & Warehouse functions by delivering end-to-end implementations, upgrades, enhancements and support function. The candidate is responsible for identifying organization's needs with SAP MM/ WM process and systems, define into functional requirements and scalable solutions. You will be working with the SAP COE and business to set solutions that support requirements and drive key business decisions working closely with Project Management and other team members. Responsible for building and maintaining application roadmaps and lifecycle plans aligning with the IT strategy and direction. Acts as a liaison between the SAP COE and business units in the development and implementation of new businesses, enhancement of existing ones and support. The primary duties of this job require highly-specialized skill in the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of SAP application.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as a core member of an agile, dynamic focused team driven by business change and continuous improvement. Strong functional background in MM/WM processes & systems to lead the implementation and support of the SAP solution, enhance the business functionality and overall performance. Work closely with internal and external teams to deliver SAP support and enhancements
  • Implement and deploy SAP template solution to achieve defined business goals to design, maintain, deploy solution for MM/ WM component and cross functional components such as production planning, procurement etc.
  • Point of contact to the business, addressing all MM/WM solution issues & requirements within implemented template and highlight the impact of changes. Working with the business to analyse and define future requirements, processes and objectives to scope priorties, change and deliverables.

Job Specifications

  • Expert functional and technical knowledge of SAP applications and processes in the areas of MM, WM, PP, IM and Procurement
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC6 is desirable. Knowledge of SAP S/4 is will be advantage.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Ability to research and analyze data effectively
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and present
