Role Summary

We are recruiting an exciting Quality Team Leader role to lead the day to day line management of our quality engineers. You will be proactively working with manufacturing, engineering, operations and supply chain to ensure effective collaboration on quality issues.


Based at our state of the art head office Ansty Park in Coventry, you will report directly into our Head of Quality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as deputy to the Quality Manager when necessary
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Assurance Team including liaison with shop Inspectors.
  • Implement Customer / Regularity Authority requirements into Quality Manual’s / QES / QP / PS / Inspection Procedure’s.
  • Undertake Internal Quality System / Process / Product Auditing.
  • Facilitate Internal concessions / Supplier & External.
  • Generate where necessary & monitor effective implementation of Internal concessions/CAR’s and scrap notes.
  • Fulfil Customer / Regularity Authority CAR’s / Root Cause Analysis / Preventative Action.
  • Lead/facilitate quality clinic activities
  • Undertake Customer Return Investigations and prepare reports.
  • Manage control of internal / external specifications.
  • Leadership, management and development of the Team

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • HND or equivalent in a relevant Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering based subject.
  • Experience of operating at a Team Leader level in an Aerospace or Manufacturing based business.
  • Experience of Quality based Systems and regulators: - CAA / CAAC / FAA / TCCA
  • Knowledge and experience of dealing with accreditation bodies: - BSI
  • Strong Quality toolkit- FMEA, APQP, Control Plans, PPAP’s etc
  • Detailed understanding of Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Excellent critical reasoning and problem solving skills required
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office packages and SAP
