Role Summary

The Procurement Operations Manager – Group Indirects, will direct and oversee the day-to-day activities of the central group (PLC/MUSA) and local Ansty Site Indirect Buyer, which will include planning, coordinating, and supervising complex tactical and strategic procurement activities. The role will be responsible for the Group Indirect Procurement data analysis, reporting, and the efficient utilization of tools and systems.  Support  with all aspects of Meggitt Indirect Procurement governance, including but not limited to the development, and roll out of Policies, Processes, enhanced reporting, smart KPI’s, communication and strategy deployment. They may at times be required to participate or lead strategic procurement projects, as assigned, and ensures that the related procurement procedures are in compliance with government laws (domestic/international), regulations and management objectives.#LI-SJ1

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and oversee all tactical and operational procurement activities of the PLC/MUSA Buyer and Ansty site buyer, including but not limited to mentoring in negotiation planning, best practice procurement and processes.  Reviews and approves PRs/POs/GRs within authorized limits, as required, while adhering to applicable government laws domestic/international), Company policies, procedures and goals.
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting, through the ownership of SAP S4 Hana, SAP ECC6 Procurement processes, and Vendigital analytics.
  • Supporting governance, including but not limited to the development, and roll out of policies, processes, enhanced reporting, smart KPI’s, communication and strategy deployment.
  • Maintain and execute improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of current Meggitt tools and systems used across the Meggitt Group Indirect Procurement division, impacting central services and global sites, and leverage other solutions in the wider market as relevant.
  • Meet assigned KPIs and related goals, e.g. Cost Savings Target, Indirect Supplier Count Reduction, Process implementation, Timely and accurate Indirect Procurement Reporting, PLC/MUSA and Ansty Site order processing efficiency improvement etc.
  • Monitors requisitions and status of PLC/MUSA and Ansty Site purchase orders, develops reports to track the timeliness of processing requisitions, and monthly spend within SAP S4 HANA and ECC6.

Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Previously held procurement role in other organisations, which involved procurement operational, analytical, and reporting responsibilities.  Strategic Indirect Procurement experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP processes within Procurement, ideally S4 Hana and ECC6
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of database systems
  • Ability to research and analyze data effectively to create accurate reporting
  • Working knowledge of governance, compliance, policies, processes and procedures             
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
