Role Summary

 

The Data Governance Analyst will be an integral part of the overall Meggitt Group Data Team which is aiming to become the “voice of information” across the Group.  Albeit initially focused on getting the data foundations right,  increasingly this role will evolve to help govern and monitor across multiple datasets, geographies and help support key data driven outcomes across many operational areas.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Gathering, prioritisation, implementation and support of a new Master Data system solution which will control and govern Master Data setup and changes for our key global sites.
  • Help create and support the roll out of an updated data governance framework
  • Works with the Group Head of Data and Divisional Data Managers to embed the understanding of Data Governance across the Group supporting the Business functions
  • Define indicators (KPIs) of performance and quality metrics to measure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
  • Extract, report, update and maintain the Master Data & Metadata Change control process along with the release and communication of changes across the Divisions and Sites.
  • Ability to lead conversations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders helping them understand why accurate data is important, enabling fast and better business results, business insights and value creation.
  • Proactively develops skills and identifies new ways of working as required to support changes in technology.  
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of Data Analyst, Governance & Quality roles with knowledge of Data Governance practices and approaches
  • Experience of system requirements gathering and prioritisation along with solution delivery
  • Exposure to the Data industry and an understanding of data systems
  • Business Process experience and qualifications as appropriate
  • Strong management, influencing and communication skills with ability to prioritise
  • An understanding of data models, structures and techniques
  • Exposure to and experience of negotiation and problem solving
  • Manufacturing experience (Aerospace an advantage)
  • Good analytical problem solving and fact finding skills
  • Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels of project implementation
  • Ability to travel as needed
