Role Summary:


We are now looking for an exceptional marketing communications business who can set us apart from our peers and continue to build the saliency of the Meggitt brand.  With the ability to deliver outstanding marketing communications to a multitude of stakeholders, this role will bring further energy, discipline and focus to our external communications approach.  The role will sit across all of our businesses and will deliver divisional level marketing communications for Meggitt, showcasing innovation and customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Define and deliver the marcomms plan for the divisions including ‘right sizing’ marcomms resource across the business.
  • Manage all aspects of division external communications, including press and other marcomms collateral
  • Work closely with the external comms manager in building and maintaining both divisional and corporate story vaults
  • Manage the events manager to execute group trade show events and key internal events such as the annual leadership conference.
  • Manage the event budget delivering each event to timescale, budget and brief inlcuding division specific trade shows working closely with the Events Manager.
  • Support the execution of the wider external communications plan to support the reputation of Meggitt.
  • Create transparent, consistent & constant marketing communications which includes developing & delivering PR plans around key trade shows and CRM events.
  • Work with the Communications team to develop relationships with external media (helped by an external advisor) trade journals and technical press.
  • Drive marketing content creation and management across key Meggitt communications.
  • Develop a compelling narrative for the businesses that works harmoniously with the corporate story.
Skills, Experience & Abilities:

 

  • An outstanding marketing communications professional with the ability to create and deliver a range of marketing communications material.
  • Demonstrable experience of brand and reputation management, including tone of voice.
  • A relationship builder with outstanding communication skills and the ability to listen.
  • Project management experience.
  • Exemplary skills in working collaboratively with the ability to persuade and engage.
  • Broad experience of media relations, working with journalists and positioning stories.
  • Tactical experience of trade shows.
  • Ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organisation; a credible thinker and doer.
