Our Airframe Systems division brings together an extensive range of skills and abilities to support some of the world’s leading commercial, business and military aircraft manufacturers
Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.
We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.
Whether it’s developing new radome solutions, fuel delivery systems or high-altitude life support systems, the Airframe Systems embodies the innovation at the heart of Meggitt.

Responsibility for the maintenance agenda within the Operations and Test areas. Accountable for the Maintenance and Asset Effectiveness of the Manufacturing areas, through the deployment of maintenance teams in pursuit of the Maintenance Excellence Strategy.

Core Responsibilities

 Lead and develop the engineering excellence programme in line with best practice methodology and principles.
 Responsible for the delivery of a sustainable maintenance programme through the development of the team, processes, ways of working and the consistent application of improvement to these areas.. .
 Deliver positive results through the adoption and effective utilisation of Progressive Maintenance (PM), Lean and best practice operational approaches.
 Required to lead, coach and empower your direct and indirect team and help develop Ansty Park into a High Performing Organisation.
 Lead the development of the asset maintenance strategy within the section to deliver improved reliability of all operational assets.
 Develop a Best Practice Maintenance Framework which delivers improvement in 3 Over-arching Metrics (People, Processes and Plant)
 Drive a FMEA/Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) culture through establishment of Planned Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance and Pro-Active - Maintenance techniques (CBM)
 Monitoring and review of PM information and KPI's, to drive continuous improvement of Global Efficiency
 Develop CAPEX strategies and revenue strategies to support essential replacement to best utilise financial resources
 Prepared to work either on own or within a team as situation dictates. Need ability to listen and communicate effectively at all levels.
 To lead, attend and contribute to Daily Layered Accountability (DLA) meetings and to support the ongoing progression of MPS within a HPC environment.
 Ability to work within and contribute to a team type approach of working and participate in the continual improvement process essential for the ongoing development of the maintenance department.
 To ensure compliance with any regulations for the control of technical data (i.e. DFARS, ITAR etc.).

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 Relevant Degree (Preferred) or Time Served Engineer Demonstrable track record of achievement in Maintenance Engineering Management, in a progressive organization. An electrical / mechanical maintenance apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
 Experience in CMMS/Maintenance Planning Systems is desirable.
 Knowledge and experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance is essential.
 Strong Maintenance/Operational Background.
 Working knowledge of statutory regulations – electrical, pressure systems and transportable gas, manual handling etc.
 Knowledge of plant equipment and services is essential.
  Required to work in all areas of the site and satellite sites e.g. CVD, Test Houses etc. – must be prepared to work in hazardous areas, i.e. basements, pits, service ducts, towers, roofs and substations
