The position will report to MRO Operations Leader. The purpose of the role is to undertake overall responsibility for the MRO cell. Managing and coordinating the day to day cell activities and providing supervision for the cell. Communicate and coordinate internally with various departments regarding the repair and overhaul orders. This role will be a key interface working alongside the multiple cells that form the MRO Operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the DLA process including preparing boards; reporting data against S,Q,D,I & P and hosting/ Lead DLA Boards with staff at DLA 1.  Further, attend and facilitate DLA levels 2 and 3 as appropriate.
  • Undertake the role of HPS ‘champion’ promoting and supporting positively all aspects of HPS.
  • Manage the MRO customer orders daily.
  • Run the Cell and coordinate everyday tasks.
  • Work with Administration, Quality, Sales and Marketing teams to resolve customer queries/investigations.
  • Monitor cell expenditure against monthly budgets to ensure that costs are controlled.
  • Coordinate the development of the cell, including the introduction of new products, new plant and equipment, and systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are achieved and facilities are properly maintained.
  • Carry out team member duties, as appropriate, to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the cell.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • HND, or equivalent relevant qualification, unless able to demonstrate exceptional practical experience and technical knowledge in relevant areas.
  • Experience in an Operations environment.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the production processes used in the cell and for manufacture of products is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills gained in an operations orientated environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills on a business computer system e.g. SAP inputting data.
  • Driving license.
