Role Summary

The Indirect Buyer will take overall responsibility for contract management and relationship management activities for the site. This will include responsibility for internal stakeholder alignment on strategy and sourcing through to execution of contract negotiations and in-contract management with our suppliers. They will have the opportunity to shape the sites approach to indirect procurement, including the responsibility to develop, improve and maintaining relevant KPI’s and reporting.


Job Core Responsibilities

  • Creation and delivery of category strategies where appropriate
  • Supplier and stakeholder relationship management
  • Accountable for leading contract negotiations and in-contract management
  • Devise and execute improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of current tools and systems
  • Supporting with all aspects of site Indirect Procurement governance, including but not limited to the development, and roll out of policies, processes, enhanced reporting, smart KPI’s, communication and strategy deployment.
  • Transactional support of purchase order placement, as required, while adhering to applicable governance.
  • Meet assigned KPIs and related goals, e.g. Cost Savings Target, Indirect Supplier Count Reduction, Process implementation, Timely and accurate Indirect Procurement Reporting, order processing efficiency improvement etc.


Job Specifications

  • Previously held procurement role in other organizations, which involved contract negotiations and contract management responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of SAP processes within the Procurement modules
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
  • Excellence verbal and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Comprehensive computer skills, ideally advanced with the Microsoft suite.
