Role Summary
Responsible for supporting the output of the cell through the efficient and effective operation of various assembly and testing techniques. Part of a multidisciplinary team, achieving performance measures, continuous improvement and first line maintenance objectives
Core Responsibilities
To assemble and test all parts that makes up the Braking System from simple sub-assemblies to complex hydraulic control units.
To maintain component traceability of all parts throughout the manufacturing assembly process.
To attend and contribute to Daily Layered Accountability meetings.
To assess repair retest and or modify production returns.
To be responsible for the inspection and associated paperwork that support the manufacturing documentation required for that product.
Ability to work within and contribute to a team type approach of working and participate in the continual improvement process essential for the ongoing development of the cell.
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years’ Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience
Skills:
Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation
Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Effective oral and written communication
