We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

About the role

As the Head of FP&A, you will lead and direct the Financial Planning and Analysis Function within the Energy & Equipment division. You will oversee the implementation of operational plans and create financial models for future business planning decisions. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads and directs the Financial Planning and Analysis Teams to meet department objectives and strategic goals.
  • Sets and manages budget activities, while driving the effective implementation of finance processes.
  • Oversees the implementation of operational plans and creates financial models for future business planning decisions.
  • Ensures the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Identifies and drives service enhancements from a customer perspective which will deliver Finance performance improvements.
  • Manages and monitors financial systems and makes improvements to meet financial performance standards as measured against internal and competitive benchmarks.
  • Participates in developing the Finance strategic plan in collaboration with upper management.

Skills & Experience

  • Thorough understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures including compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Strong team development and management skills to enable the creation of a highly capable Finance and Accounting team.
  • Able to execute functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis, acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles.
  • Capable of directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience.
  • Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
