Role Summary
The Ansty Park site HR team are looking for a new HR Administrator to support them with all coordination and administration tasks within the team. This role will suit someone looking for an entry-level HR role, or someone that has previous administration experience looking for a new challenge within a large organisation and fast paced team. We are looking for an individual to provide a high quality service to our internal employees, the HR team and external parties. All of our employee queries and emails go to our shared ‘AskHR’ inbox and you’ll be responsible for responding to a high level of queries, liaising with the HR Specialists/People Advisors and HR Business Partners to ensure we’re providing an excellent level of service.
Core Responsibilities
- Respond to all queries within the ‘AskHR’ inbox, forwarding to the relevant HR team and responding in a timely manner. The inbox can be very busy, with on average 40 emails per day so you will be confident managing your time, the priority queries and able to work in a busy fast paced environment.
- Maintain our HR system (SAP) and add new employees, remove leavers, change data for transfers and job changes, maintain organization charts etc.
- Prepare and issue relevant paperwork for contractual changes and follow up agreement to changes as appropriate for record purposes
- Assist with payroll data by providing relevant employee information to the payroll team for timely processing. You will chair a monthly Payroll review meeting with the HR Business Partner’s, so you’ll need to be organised and confident presenting payroll data
- Ensure an effective on-boarding process by monitoring all right to work documentation/ visas, providing day one information ensuring all relevant documentation is collated, checks are carried out and liaising with payroll to ensure employees are paid on time
- Responsible for delivering the HR induction. This is an area of improvement there is an opportunity to support a project to review our onboarding and induction process.
- Maintain records of benefits provided to employees and assist in the communication of benefits to employees
- Administer the cycle to work scheme and maintain a relationship with the provider
Skills, knowledge & attributes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer facing skills – you’ll be the first point of contact and we strive to provide an excellent HR service
- Able to work accurately and with attention to detail
- Able to work with and maintain high levels of confidentiality as you’ll see sensitive people data
- Ability to work as part of a team and support the wider HR team members with their priorities – someone adaptable and able to respond to the teams priorities is a must
- Previous HR experience would be desirable but not essential, the most important thing is a “can do” attitude willingness to learn
- High level of professionalism, sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
- Confident presenting as you will support the new joiner inductions
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
