Role Summary

The Finance Analyst applies analytical expertise in performing economic research on rates of return, depreciation and investments, and analysis of profit-and-loss income statements. Prepares reports and makes recommendations to management, while ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the production of the Weekly tracker for S&S.
  • Support the production of the Monthly Rolling Forecast for S&S.
  • Ensure that the Customer Led Forecast (CLF) tool is kept up to date based on actuals.
  • Working closely with global sales & marketing teams to develop accurate and robust rolling sales forecast
  • Reviewing forecasts with sales team on an appropriate basis remaining fully conversant with customer activity including new offerings and de-listings
  • Organizes regular forecast validation meeting with S&S management
  • Remain fully conversant in sales orders received highlighting any opportunities and risks to the S&M leads and Material Management team
  • Ensure all new business forecasts are validated and acted upon quickly, highlighting any risk to forecast due to lead times, MOQ etc
  • Support the Demand Planning Lead in developing and implementing best practice and clear linkage to the sales forecasts
  • Support the Demand Planning Lead with the Monthly SI&OP review, and linkage back to the sales forecast to achieve the financial plan

Core Responsibilities

  • Build a robust process to provide clear analysis on significant movement on forecast accuracy and utilises root cause processes to provide improvements to the forecasting process, so ensuring a learning environment to support changing market requirements
  • Provides support to both Demand Planning team and Finance Department during annual budget and quarterly forecast updates
  • Support demand planning team in agreeing and communicating guidance demand forecasts for budgeting and RF process
