Role Summary
To produce high quality components on CNC milling and turning equipment.
Core Responsibilities
Have the ability to operate, set & programme CNC machinery effectively with various control systems.
Maintain equipment through monitoring and replenishing oils and coolants through TPM.
Have the ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings effectively.
Use measuring equipment on a daily basis to measure components accurately.
Have an excellent understanding and knowledge of current modern manufacturing methods & techniques through experience.
Understand and maintain (SPC) Statistic Process Control chart data.
Complete route card and other paperwork clearly and effectively where required.
Carry out Operator verification where required with a good eye for detail.
Visually check parts for any defects.
Understand and plan methods of machining for new and existing pieces of work efficiently.
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 1-2
Be a good problem solver with the ability to suggest and instigate working solutions efficiently.
Work effectively as a team player at all times.
Ability to be flexible in working practices at all times.
Work at all times in an environment of continuous improvement culture.
