Role Summary
We are seeking an established Matrix Assembler to join us at our state of the art manufacturing plant in Ansty Park, Coventry. The purpose of this role is to set up the auto ferrule machine, and to assemble the matrix to specification
Core Responsibilities
- Set up the auto ferrule machine to automatically ferrule each matrix by bend sequence
- Operate drilling machines (streamlining).
- Inspect Matrix skeleton form.
- The ability to read & understand engineering drawings.
- The ability to use measuring equipment commensurate with matrix assembly.
- Visually check parts for any defects.
- Inform Team Leader/MSE of any major problems with tooling whilst in use.
- Stamp route cards and conform to all quality specifications.
- Work & adhere to production schedules, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Work effectively on her/his own, and as a team player at all times.
- Take part in Continuous improvement events.
- Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Team Leader
- Undertake any training requirements commensurate with your role.
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 1 year
Skills:
Skilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
