Job Summary

To support the Services & Support EMEA Region and the UK based finance function. The business has recently undergone a period of significant growth which includes the relocation of offices (within Coventry) to a brand new facility and an SAP implementation, so an individual comfortable and capable of operating during times of exciting, positive change is essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the month end close process including preparation and posting of journals, sales and orders reporting, margin reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs
  • Liaising with Finance Shared Services on accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger matters
  • Support with daily administration including: indirect purchase orders, vendor masterdata, daily sales and inventory reporting, reviewing shipping and invoicing blocks
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including complex intercompany analysis and query resolution
  • Support the implementation of reporting and control process improvements
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the UK entity
  • Support for internal & external financial audits at S&S UK, and ensure the financial control environment is consistent with the Meggitt Finance Policy, GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Support data integrity to support platform/program profitability analysis


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CCAB)
  • Good communication & presentation skills
  • Willingness to adopt a hands-on ethic and develop strong cross functional relationships
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Highly computer literate, with advanced Excel skills advantageous
