Job Designation

The production machine technician performs complex mold set ups and molding operations on various injection, transfer and compression tools.  In addition, the mold technician will be responsible for mold and secondary tooling maintenance.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Perform complex set ups on transfer, injection and compression tools.

  • Installs, maintains, and rebuilds a variety of tooling and auxiliary equipment used in the molding and machining of critical thermoset parts.

  • Assists in setting up complex production equipment and conducting analyses and calibration of assemblies in accordance with company policy.

  • Assist operators in manufacturing operations as required.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.  May need to work weekends or additional hours as required.

Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field 
Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to understand and follow complex job instructions such as blueprints, operations manuals, and machine specifications is a must.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a must.

  • Able to apply an analytical approach to problem solving.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.
