Job Summary

Reporting into the VP Commercial, the Senior Commercial Manager will work to ensure that both Meggitt and the Customer adhere to the provisions of their agreement and is responsible for the life of a contract, from supporting the business in winning the contract, the management of the contract, its modification and interpretation to exit. The Senior Commercial Manager also assesses contractual and commercial risk and provides appropriate advice to the Commercial Team, and Product Group. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads/participates in Commercial Team improvement projects and initiatives
  • Actively supports the bid team in responding to RFI’s or RFP’s including obtaining necessary internal approvals, leading on complex and supporting Commercial Lead on group opportunities
  • Drafts, reviews and negotiates commercial documents such as NDA’s and Terms and Conditions, leading on complex and supporting Commercial Lead on group opportunities
  • Monitors and reports on performance against contracts
  • Drafts and negotiates contract amendments
  • Lead in contract closedown/exit activities

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Experienced Commercial Professional
  • IACCM Member – Practitioner certified (or capable of becoming certified)
  • Able to establish and maintain effective business relationships based on mutual respect and trust,
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and product ranges,
  • Ability to clearly communicate using different mediums and at all levels in the organisation,
  • Proven decision making skills, and an ability to solve complex or new problems,
  • Ability to manage own and the Commercial Teams workload, delegating and prioritising tasks as required,
  • Proven negotiating skills, with the ability to achieve results without alienating the Customer.
