Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Process Improvement
Location: Poole, Heatric – On-Site
About the role
As the Manufacturing Engineer your role will be to provide engineering and process expertise in all manufacturing departments and support equipment within Heatric’s chemical etching plant. Focusing on Safety, process control, quality and productivity related improvements, you will work with internal customers and external contractors to develop and drive implementation of solutions to technical issues.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as project (task) leader for assigned projects including planning, project implementation and co-ordination of all related inter-organisations.
- Develop and improve future etching technology within the etching facility.
- Assist and work with the HLD team on continuous improvement activities.
- Introduce and implement new product development / documentation.
- Oversee the Quality measures, analysis of Quality measures and report on right first time and Non-compliance records.
- Working with the HSE manager to ensure compliance across the site.
- Provide interactions with senior technical personnel of the company.
Skills & Experience
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of chemistry within a manufacturing environment would be a significant advantage but not essential.
- Ability to problem solve through root cause analysis tools (6 Sigma, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s).
- CI experience and knowledge of tools.
- Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar project tools.
