Role Summary


To further strengthen our After-market Field Services Team  we are currently looking for a “Senior Customer Support Engineer, Energy ” for India. 

In the position as “Sr. Customer Support Engineer” you will be accountable for providing our customers, subsidiaries and representatives with superior technical services and a first-class technical support. Essential Responsibilities


-    Lead the team of Customer Support Engineers & Technicians  
-    Provide technical assistance for Meggitt’s Sensing, Protection and Condition Monitoring hardware and software Systems to customers, subsidiaries regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
-    Installation & Commissioning of hardware and software on site 
-    Act as Site Project Management in coordination with end users, OEMs, Contractors and Meggitt’s project management team. Ensure timely completion of field services activities and hand over the systems to end user with well documented commissioning report and closure with Job completion certificates.
-    Provide feedback from the field to our sales, project management and development department via all communication media such as written reports, presentations & meetings. 
-    Actively participate in the development and promotion of the service offering and contribute to service sales revenues.
-    Create and present training material for customers, sales team, subsidiaries, and representatives 
-    Create white papers for case studies and site applications 
-    Record Customer Support cases to create a database of treated issues and to make solutions available to other Customer Support Engineers.
-    Manage customer complaints and work on time bound resolutions.
-    Track and close customer warranty issues.
-    Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time and expense sheets
-    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives taken up by management time to time.
-    Demonstrate assurance when dealing with clients and embrace a customer focused mindset.
-    Work along with Project Engineering and Management team to ensure quality project execution.

Qualifications/Requirements

-    Have Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited college or university (Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
-    6 – 8 years professional experience in the field of Installation and commissioning of Automations systems/DCS/PLC, Online Vibration Monitoring System is essential. 
-    Work experience in field related to systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power Industry and Process plants
-    Experience with Meggitt, Bently Nevada, Shinkawa, Emerson, , SKF etc make Online VMS system will be added advantage 
-    Have knowledge on Electronics, Control systems, instrumentation systems troubleshooting, Hardware O&M, Modbus & OPC communication protocols, Networking
-    Should be fluent in English. Have excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel
-    Customer focused, solution oriented, dynamic personality with good interpersonal skills 
-    Computer literacy 
-    Ready to Travel (up to 80% of working time) at short notice
