Job Title:  Supplier Improvement Lead

Location: Avrille

About the role

As the Supplier Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and driving projects to improve supplier performance within the Supply Chain. This will involve engagement across c800 Supply Chain professionals/team members across all of the Meggitt sites/group team and will be measured in a tangible improvement in OTIF performance.

You will need to be well versed in the use of RAILS, LOB reviews, application of SDE support, lead time data, buffer stocks, extended commitments to ensure governance and reporting into procurement, and the rest of the business.

Coordination of all escalation requirements are a key aspect of this role to ensure projects are progressed in a timely manner to meet business goals. You will be required to priorities the projects with the most significant contribution to KPI improvements to ensure visibility for the procurement leadership team.

Core Responsibilities

Improving Supplier OTIF through actions defined below

  • Engage with key suppliers based on input from the site supply chain leader and or general manager
  • Interact with Internal leadership to determine areas of focus based on the site’s needs
  • Coordinate internal improvement activities such as meeting, continuous improvement events and or project plans
  • Responsible for development of strategic relationships with our key supplier, stakeholders and ensuring levels of engagement are appropriate to drive progress against agreed objectives
  • Operates effectively in a matrix organisation, ensuring alignment across divisions/commodity & working collaboratively with site teams to deliver wider business objectives

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated capability/experience in a supply chain environment, with improvement activities to ensure improved on time and in full supply delivery
  • Demonstrated capability/experience in an operational and strategic supply chain role
  • Project management capability having operated at all levels of the business
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Sound business and financial acumen and confident dealing with senior stakeholder
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organisation
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence.
  • Demonstrates a high level of ethical behaviour in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance
