Job Designation

The Operations Analyst will report to the Director, Customer Support Planning. This role is responsible for providing visibility of inventory status for the Braking Systems business, updating inventory models at the aggregate and part levels, recommending targets and analyzing data to identify opportunities to improve inventory turns. This role requires close coordination with the Planning, Operations and Finance functions in order to achieve customer delivery goals while meeting the company’s inventory targets. Ongoing assessment of the demand, supply lead times and their variability coupled with insight into improvement tactics is essential for success in this position. This role is hands-on and requires direct participation in the operations of the business and supports company management with information and analyses used in decision making.   

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Update the global inventory model monthly
  • Monitor and analyze inventory variances
  • Adjust planning parameters as required to support demand / supply / finance targets
  • Collect data prepare reports for S&OP reviews and other corporate reporting requirements
  • Measure and analyze progress against the operating plan
  • Identify inventory turns improvement opportunities
  • Monitor Inventory Records Accuracy metric and leverage best practices.

Job Specifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or related work experience.  
  • Experience: 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Advanced Proficiency of MS Office Tools.
  • Prior key user experience of an ERP system, preferably SAP/HANA.
  • Certifications: APICS CPIM and/or CSCP preferred.
