Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

Product Engineering is seeking a highly motivated individual with responsibilities that will include managing current Product Engineering documents and execution of special projects, New Product Introductions (NPI) in a production capacity and act as a liaison between Design Engineering and the production floor.  Additional responsibilities would include disposition and manage Engineering Change Notices as a Production Change Board member.  The role will work with both suppliers and internal customers to problem-solve items relating to new and legacy components.  Provide production technical and manufacturing support as required for both new and mature programs will also be a responsibility in this role.  The position will include Meggitt Airframe Systems Braking Systems global plant support and eventually the ability to make MRB (material review board) decisions for non-conforming material.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Manage components through production for new programs.
•    Support new product introductions though the design, build and qualification stages.
•    New product design reviews with Design Engineering.
•    PPAP elements such as PFMEA, PFD (process flow diagrams) for new programs as required.
•    Provide support to the Advanced Research and Technology group for new production capabilities as well as new design technologies.
•    Disposition and manage the implementation of engineering change notices as a member of the Production Change Board.
•    Provide engineering disposition for non-conforming material.
•    Create infrastructure in MABS business systems to support new programs.
•    Review/prepare/manage product engineering documentation.
•    Manage and execute special projects which includes associated policies, procedures, and support documentation.
•    Production support for our global manufacturing operations.
•    Candidates must be willing to travel as required.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering--Mechanical or Aerospace field preferred.
Years' Experience: Minimum 5 years with a combination of relevant engineering and manufacturing experience. Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience preferred.
Skills:
•    Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication and process document skills
•    Previous technical writing experience preferred
•    Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure
•    Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines including suppliers, design engineering, quality and procurement; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
•    Goal oriented with the capability to drive results. Schedule and execute to ensure adherence to business and customer requirements
•    Strong computer skills required. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Demonstrated experience with SAP or other ERP system a plus
•    Excellent Project Management skills for successful project delivery desirable
